YGL is a grassroots organization founded in 2003 as a happy hour crew of young folks interested in meeting other young, energized people in the federal government. Today YGL is 1300+ members strong and growing. YGL is the only professional organization found and led by young feds. YGL has evolved in its mission to educate, inspire, and transform the next generation of government leaders, offering professional development, networking, and leadership opportunities for its Members.
Our Members don’t come to YGL events just to trade business cards and walk away. They come for the opportunity to build lasting relationships with other federal employees and brainstorm about potential solutions to the significant challenges the federal government faces in the next century. YGL encourages members to get involved, make a difference, and develop their leadership potential. Concurrently, members are guaranteed to have fun, develop long lasting friendships, and make a real difference in the business of government.
