Pre-Retirement Training

The Greater Boston Federal Executive Board will host a one-day Pre-retirement training for Federal Retirement Systems (FERS) employees on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center in Boston.  The fee is $60 per person.  Consultant Steve Marder will offer an overview of the FERS system to include topics such as TSP, FERS and Social Security to help you plan your future in retirement.

Although most of us are years away from retirement, we offer this course and recommend that every employee participate early career, mid career and late career. By attending early on in your career, you can develop a baseline understanding of your retirement benefits and better understand what your goals are moving forward.  Check with your agency about their individual policy regarding paying for these courses - most do.
