This delicious street food features ground beef, lamb, or chicken that has been perfectly seasoned and made into cigar-shaped cylinders prior to being cooked over an open flame. The skewers are then placed on the grill so that you can eat it straight off the skewer, or wrap your ‘kafta’ (as they are known) with pita bread and salad ingredients of your choice, whatever are left after you’ve eaten all those succulent pickles of dill.
